Why is having a smaller wedding ideal?

Smaller Weddings Are More Magical and Meaningful

Dream Wedding

I can't speak for the men out there, but as a woman i can relate. As little girls growing up we would dream about our wedding days. In the back of our minds, we already know what kind of cake we want, what type of dress we may wear, the type of ring we desire, the color decorations we plan on using etc. We envision our wedding day to be like a scene out of a fairy tale, where we would be dressed up like princesses and our prince will come take us away. We picture this day to be magical and splendid, with the finest of food and drinks and best musicians. But as reality hits us, we realize having the dream wedding doesn't necessarily mean having the biggest wedding of all times. It simply means being able to unite with the love of your life no matter how big or small the wedding is. Following are a few simple reasons why i believe smaller wedding is ideal.

Reasons for a Smaller Wedding

 1) Guest List- Your Guest List would just compromise of the people who actually mean something to you and not a bunch of people you don't know. Your family and close friends are just the people you want to celebrate with as you take this step forward. Trust me know one wants to celebrate with people who are there to "maco" and enjoy the free food and drinks.

 2) Budget - Weddings nowadays costs such a fortune and by having a smaller wedding you can save a great amount of money. This can be set aside to start your life together by putting it into a savings, towards your honeymoon, future kids, house etc. So think about it folks, do you really want to spend a load of money that can be used for something valuable in the future.

3) Saves Time- Having a smaller wedding is economical and saves a lot of time. It's actually less stress as things would get done at a faster rate as compared to a larger wedding.

4) Less Compromise- Having a large wedding is any girl's dream but think about it, if you have a smaller wedding you would not have to compromise on the things your heart truly desires. For example instead of settling for a two layer cake because you have to cut back in cost to facilitate more guests, you would be able to have the cake of your dreams. Instead of settling for "channa and aloo" you can serve exquisite gourmet food for the people that actually matters. Basically what I am trying to say is you would be able to have all the things you want by having a smaller wedding.

5) Photos- I have seen instances where couples who have had lavish and huge weddings go through their wedding albums and see pictures of people they don't even know. Wife, "Darling, do you know who this lady is?", Husband "No Honey, I thought she was from your side". Having a smaller wedding is ideal, as the photographer would be able to capture the moments of those that actually matter.

Just remember your big day is not about showing off who can have the best wedding, or the best cake. It's not about wearing the most expensive dress or having the most expensive caterer. It's about celebrating your special day with the people you love and care about.

Wedding Tips To Help Make Your Day Perfect

Your Day Has Finally Arrived

Finally it’s that time of your life where you’re the one walking down the aisle. That day have finally arrived, its your day and you just want everything to be perfect and for nothing to go wrong. Just remember when planning your wedding take into consideration you would only celebrate this day once, unless you plan on renewing your vows. I’m not married, but I could just imagine when that day arrives for me, I would want that day to be absolutely perfect. But it’s insane to think that nothing will go wrong. Here are some last minute tips that can help make your day stress free and meaningful.

 1) Don't Stress out- Its your wedding and i can just imagine you want everything to be perfect but reality check we live in a world where people "mess up". So try not take on any additional stress, just let the little things slide.

2) Take Some Alone Time- its the one day in your life where all eyes would be focused on you. Its moments before the ceremony, your heart is racing and you feel as if you're sweating. Its the day that is going to change your life forever. What i suggest you do, is to take a few minutes for yourself breath and collect your thoughts.

3) Don't Turn into Bridezilla- this one is for the ladies, i know how you can get, when something doesn't go as planned. But remain calm and do not throw a tantrum, nobody wants to deal with a crazy and bitchy bride. You cannot control if something doesn't go as planned, just accept it and work around it. Moreover this day is just not about you alone, its also about your husband. Click the link below how this bride to be turns into a bridezilla and ruins her day. After watching this video, i feel sorry for her bridal party and family.

4) Assign Responsibilities- Although you have hired a wedding planner, be sure to assign responsibilities to your close family and friends who can ensure things run smoothly just in case the wedding planner slips up.

5) Script It-Most couples nowadays have stepped away from the traditional vows and prefer writing their own vows. If you're one of those, then here is a little piece of advice. Write down your wedding vows on a piece of paper, and don't try to play hero and remember it. You may feel as though you would look foolish standing in front of the altar reading from a piece of paper, but trust me what would look more foolish and embarrassing is if you cant remember what you wanted to say Moreover for those on your bridal party who have an important part to play ask them to write down their speech as well.

 6) Don't Get Drunk- Its your big day and you want to enjoy your day to the fullest. You want to be the life of the party and celebrate your love with great pomp. But getting drunk is not the solution. By getting drunk not only would you embarrass your self but you may miss some important things on your big day. Your pictures may get ruined and you may say something embarrassing to your guest. And most importantly you would not get to enjoy your wedding night with your spouse because you would be to drunk. So ladies and gents just to be on the safe side don't over consume alcohol on this special day.

7) Make sometime for your spouse- Yes this day is about celebrating your love for each other, you go through so much formalities and rituals that you barely get chance to spend some quality time with your better half. Be sure to make some time for your husband or wife and spend some quality time with them and enjoy the day together.

Hope the these little pointers would be of help for those who are getting married and for those who plan on getting married.

Is he/she the one?

10 SIGNS THAT WOULD HELP TELL US IF SHE/HE IS THE ONE

As we grow older, we begin searching for that one person whom we can spend the rest of our lives together with . That one person whom we can call our own and know that they will be there no matter what. But how do we distinguish our future spouse from everyone else? What are the key signs that proves she/he is the one? For many these signs may vary, however following below are ten (10) signs which i believe can help prove she/he is the one..

1)       She/he is Funny - Is your partner able to make you laugh? Does he/she laugh at your silly jokes? If he/she does, this is a good sign. Humor is very important for a healthy and happy marriage. If you're dating someone who lacks a good sense of humor, then they are not the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. Your marriage would lack excitement and would become dull and boring. Having someone in your life who can make you laugh is integral for a happy marriage, as they would always be able to make your dull days seem brighter.

2)    She/he motivates you- having someone in your life who can openly show you where you're going wrong and point out the things that are holding you back in your life is great for a healthy marriage. This person would be able to motivate you and help you become a better person, moreover they would always try to better the relationship you share with eachother.

3)       Your life seems better when she/he is around- once that person is around, your day instantly becomes better and everything seems to be okay. Once he/she is around your days become brighter than the sun and you feel you can take on the world.

.

4)       She/ he Is Your Best Friend- Have your partner become your best friend? Do you call your girlfriend or boyfriend for every little thing that you do or experience? Do you share every detail of your life with them? If so, you are on your way to a happy and beautiful relationship. Becoming best friends with your love is absolutely the sweetest thing ever. I have met many couples who consider their partner to be their best friend, and honestly they share a beautiful and inseparable relationship.

5)       She/he loves you- Regardless of all your flaws, mistakes and weaknesses she/he still thinks you’re the most amazing person in the world and loves you no matter what.

6)       She/he shows a continuous effort-Your Partner shows a continuous effort to show you they want you in their lives. No matter where you are or where you go, they want to be there holding your hands and supporting you. He/she will do anything or you and drop everything to be with you. If you have someone like this in your lives, they definitely a keeper.

7)       Physical Attraction- This is an integral part of a relationship. If you’re not physically attracted to the person, forget about having a future with that person. However if you can not get your hands of your other half, this is great news.

8)       Trust- trust is important in a relationship without it there is no future.  A relationship built on trust is one we shouldn’t let go off.

9)       Common Values- Sharing common values can create a better and stable marriage and build a beautiful home for your kids.

10)   You are comfortable with that person – being comfortable around the person you love is very important, if you're not comfortable whilst you're dating then you wouldn't be comfortable entering into a marriage. In a relationship your must be able to feel comfortable around the person you intend to spend the rest of your life with.

Unfortunately in life, many of us have to kiss a few frogs before we find the perfect match, but when you do find that person make sure to hold on. Sometimes we are often blessed with such a person but are unable to recognize the love of our lives but don't lose faith. What are the key signs you believe would help you recognize your future spouse?

What is Marriage?

Some consider it a life sentence full of misery and pain, whilst others believe it to be the most beautiful union of a man and wife who have come together to celebrate their love for each other. Some run from it whilst others embrace it. But what is a marriage? A marriage is a legalized union of two people who have vowed to spend their lives together "till death do them part".

There are many reasons why people get married. Some people get married for love, whilst some for wealth, others for many other reasons. But marriages should not take place based on a compromise, its a lifelong commitment that should be respected and protected. People should not enter into this beautiful bond with the intention of acquiring wealth, property, status etc. I believe marriages should take place because of love. How can two people decide to spend their lives together in a relationship without love?

A marriage is a partnership, its a commitment and a relationship that ought to be built. If something goes wrong, you stay and mend your relationship, don't run. But the sad thing is people enter into this partnership with the misconception that marriage is a beautiful box filled with the things we as human crave for such as companionship, intimacy, friendship etc, and the minute they find these things missing they allow the relationship to fall apart. Marriage is a beautiful union yes, but its like an empty box that you have to work together to fill with the things you want. Marriage is not a fairy tale where these things magically appear, it takes time and effort and commitment to build a healthy marriage. Its like a full time job  that you continuously work on to enjoy the benefits. Love may infuse the zeal to get married, but after marriage love is not just enough. It takes passion, romance, commitment and most importantly it takes "two".
